AroundAbout was founded by Georgia Elrod, Baris Gokturk and Sarada Rauch, who are practicing artists based in Brooklyn. We began as a curatorial team with the artist-run gallery Heliopolis, organizing shows with a mission of inclusion and horizontality. One of the most valuable aspects of curating together was the dialogue that unfolded around the show's theme. When the gallery closed, Georgia and Sarada focused on continuing the conversation around and about a given topic.
